Iran Rebar Price Today | Steel Market Rises as DRI Jumps 12.5%

Iran Steel Market Turns Higher as Rebar and Beam Prices Rise, but Real Demand Remains Cautious
The Iran steel market on October 3, 2026 has opened with another round of price increases. However, the current upward movement appears to be driven more by production costs, currency pressure, raw-material prices and replacement costs than by a strong recovery in real consumption. Latest market data show that many rebar brands have raised their quotations while end-user demand remains relatively cautious. تجارت نیوز
Iran rebar prices continue to rise
Esfahan Steel’s 12 mm A3 rebar has increased by around 3,500 tomans to approximately 107,730 tomans per kilogram. Ghaem Razi 12 mm rebar rose by about 4,000 tomans to 94,640 tomans, while Bafgh Yazd’s 14 mm A3 product gained around 5,000 tomans to roughly 95,910 tomans per kilogram. Kashan 18 mm A3 rebar is trading near 102,270 tomans. تجارت نیوز
The rise in Iran rebar prices today does not necessarily indicate a boom in construction demand. Market reports point to weak liquidity and limited purchasing power, suggesting that the latest increase is largely cost-driven and expectation-driven rather than demand-led. تجارت نیوز
Structural steel prices are also moving higher. Esfahan Steel’s 16 beam is trading around 113,670 tomans per kilogram, while Yazd 14 beam has increased by about 3,000 tomans to approximately 106,818 tomans. Rising production and replacement costs are also supporting the beam market. تجارت نیوز
Upstream conditions are adding further pressure. On September 27, 93,500 tonnes of direct reduced iron (DRI) were offered on the Iran Mercantile Exchange and the entire volume was sold including matching transactions. The weighted average DRI price reached 41,500 tomans per kilogram, representing a 12.5% weekly increase. Chilan Online
The sharp rise in DRI prices in Iran is important because higher upstream costs can gradually feed into steel billet prices and eventually into rebar and structural steel. This means finished-steel prices can remain firm even when construction demand is not particularly strong.
The Iran Mercantile Exchange also opened the week with more than 134,000 tonnes of various commodities offered across its trading halls. The industrial and mining hall included more than 4,400 tonnes of steel, while the export hall listed 10,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets. madannews.ir
The current market therefore appears to be in a cautious upward phase. Sellers are reluctant to return to previous price levels because of replacement costs and higher raw-material prices, while buyers are not fully accepting the new quotations across all products. تجارت نیوز
If DRI and steel billet prices continue to rise and currency pressure remains elevated, rebar and beam prices in Iran may face further upward pressure. However, weak construction demand could still limit the speed and breadth of future price increases.
For the coming days, the key indicators to watch are Iran rebar price today, steel billet prices, DRI prices, currency movements and Iran Mercantile Exchange transactions.
