Iran Rebar Price Today | Steel Market Surges as 87,000 Tonnes of Billet Are Offered

Iran Steel Market Surges as Rebar Tops 123,000 Tomans and 87,000 Tonnes of Billet Hit the Exchange
The Iran steel market on October 5, 2026 has entered another sharp upward phase, with several major rebar and structural steel products recording significant daily price increases. At the same time, a large steel billet offering on the Iran Mercantile Exchange is putting the focus firmly on upstream costs.
Iran rebar prices climb sharply
Esfahan Steel’s 12 mm A3 rebar increased by around 7,000 tomans to approximately 123,180 tomans per kilogram. Kashan 18 mm A3 rebar reached around 113,180 tomans, while Bafgh Yazd’s 14 mm product rose to roughly 108,640 tomans. One of the largest daily moves was recorded by Ghaem Razi’s 12 mm rebar, which increased by around 15,000 tomans. Vana News
The rise in Iran rebar prices today appears to be driven by a combination of higher upstream costs, currency pressure, inventory replacement expenses and inflation expectations. Importantly, the price surge has not been matched by an equally strong recovery in real construction demand. Vana News
87,000 tonnes of steel billet offered on IME
The Iran Mercantile Exchange has listed approximately 87,000 tonnes of bloom billet today. Around 86,100 tonnes consist of 150 mm bloom, accounting for nearly 99% of the total billet offering. The level of buyer competition for this volume could provide a key signal for steel prices in the coming sessions. madannews.ir
Upstream prices have already risen sharply. The weighted average steel billet price in Iran increased from around 70,951 tomans to approximately 79,841 tomans per kilogram in just one week, representing a rise of about 12.5%. Vana News
Direct reduced iron prices also increased by around 12.5%, reaching an average of approximately 41,500 tomans per kilogram. Rising DRI and billet costs are therefore creating genuine cost pressure for rolling mills and supporting higher finished-steel quotations. Vana News
Structural steel prices are moving in the same direction. Esfahan Steel’s 16 beam increased by around 7,000 tomans to 129,130 tomans per kilogram, while products from Yazd, Zafar Bonab and Shahin Bonab also posted notable increases. تجارت نیوز
The Iranian iron and steel market is therefore facing an unusual combination of rising production costs and relatively cautious end-user demand. This gap could result in greater volatility between mills, brands and product sizes over the coming days.
If today’s billet offering attracts aggressive bidding, upward pressure on rebar and beam prices could remain strong. If buyers resist the new price levels, however, the pace of the rally may begin to slow.
For steel traders, contractors and buyers, the most important indicators are now Iran rebar prices, steel billet prices, currency movements and Iran Mercantile Exchange trading results.
